Just saw him…

He’s in some pain, but he’s talking and lucid. He’s not saying much or moving his right side, but he’s also still dozing off in the middle of things.

He’s still in recovery, but they have a spot in the ICU – they’re just cleaning it. Not sure how long till he’s moved. We’re back in the waiting room because his nurse is “from Boston” (the reason according to another nurse – to explain why she’s so strict). :) We only spent 10 minutes or so back there.

The incision is in a straight line from the top of his ear to the edge of the top of his head – about 2-3 inches long. Looks a lot better than I thought it would.

We’re so relieved for all of you. After all those surgery drugs, I’m amazed he could talk at all so soon. Hope you and Kyan can get a good night’s sleep tonight. I know Jonathan will. :)

Yay! And fantastic that J’s making such great progress (saw your later post too). What a relief, now I’m crossing my fingers for that quick hospital stay. :-)

Wow. Pam, great updates. Tops to you for them.

That’s great news to hear that he’s dosing off, or losing focus quickly (as he adorably does normally)… I was speaking of Jonathan, and not Cyan, but they both have their excuses ;-P

Seriously, our hearts go out to you and yours. We wish the best possible outcome for your older balder boy.

PS Erica and I will be delivering some of her fine home cooked fixings as soon as you are home and ready.
