“Disolving stitches” my ass! We were two weeks over the estimate so Pam pulled them out last night with tweezers and a toenail clipper. Better not get foot fungus in my head hole.

    A few more details/clarification… :)

Some things we read said up to 60 days to “dissolve.” We were 2 weeks past when regular stitches would have been removed. And they were irritating his head (the freaking knots at each end and all the rest of the threads had scabby stuff surrounding them and it was just nasty). Watching him try to put on a hat and sunglasses without hitting/tugging/touching the stitches was just painful.

The good news is they came out easily (once the crud was removed) and it looks good. Now that we can really see the incision, it’s obvious there’s no infection — no swelling, no pus — and looks like it’s healing really well. :) Whew!
